Drawing for Palestine is an initiative created by illustrators Sarah Mazetti and Andrea Antinori, with the aim of raising funds for humanitarian aid in Gaza, through the sale of works donated by other illustrators who they invited to participate by exhibiting their work.
The first edition took place during the Bologna International Book Fair 2024, where the BCBF gave them a stand. Now, Irudika is moving this initiative to the Casa del Cordón of Fundación Vital in Vitoria-Gasteiz, and invites everyone who has an Irudika ticket, whether from Parallel Sectors or Illustration Pass, to participate by sending an email to info@irudika.eus with the subject “DRAWING FOR PALESTINE” before October 10th, with the attached image in A3 format and 300dpi resolution.
By sending this email, the conditions are accepted: Irudika will print two pieces on high-quality paper. One will be given to the participant as a thank you for their collaboration, the other piece will be exhibited at the Casa del Cordón from October 21 to 27 and will be sent to anyone who asks for it and donates €50 on the URNWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East) website and sends the receipt of the payment to the Irudika organization. Each piece will be numbered in the “news” section of Irudika.eus from October 11th where we will update the availability.
With this initiative and the Illustration in Palestine round table, from Irudika we want to embrace the Palestinian people and all the victims of genocide, transforming our support into conferences and this collective exhibition.
