Guadalajara International Book Fair (FIL), in collaboration with the Professional Association of Illustrators of the Basque Country and Irudika, the International Illustration Fair, will celebrate the eleventh edition of FILustra. Since their respective initiatives, both fairs have established themselves as benchmarks in the field of illustration, providing a vital space for professionalization and creative exchange at an international level.

FILustra and Irudika will celebrate the diversity and depth of contemporary illustration, as well as the importance of building bridges between cultures and diverse artistic visions. Round tables, talks and workshops will encourage dialogue and creative exchange between illustrators from different fields, which will strengthen the global community of creators and those passionate about illustration.

This year, both fairs will be engines of change and transformation in the world of illustration, reaffirming their commitment to art, culture and the professionalization of the sector.

The Illustrators' Hall will host, during Sunday afternoon, three round tables on national and international panorama, social context, and illustration in Mexico, coordinated by Fadip, Irudika and FIL Guadalajara, with the aim of connecting the general public with the fascinating world of illustration and show the connections and distances between Mexican and Spanish illustration in the framework of Spain Guest of Honor Country 2024.

The pass of Filustra also gives you a password to be part of the digital community of Irudika, where you can publish personal work in the gallery, and enjoy the content of the event held in the Basque Country. On the other hand, from January, those who have enjoyed the physical or online event of Irudika, will be able to enjoy the digital content of Filustra, in Guadalajara, building a real bridge between the two communities of illustration and book professionals.

Irudika, together with Filustra, has curated these contents, thanks to the support of the Ministry of Culture of Spain, the Directorate for the Promotion of Culture of the Basque Government, Etxepare Institute, Acción Cultural Española, CzechLit, DGLAB Portugal, Xunta de Galicia, Ministry of Culture of Chile, the University of Guadalajara, FADIP and the Association of Professional Illustrators of the Basque Country.
